The important quality of Minimolding is that it becomes flexible in hot water, almost toffee like (without the stickiness) and it can easily be manupulated into any shape or mould you care to make. You don't need a special workbench or workroom as it is 100% non toxic and there are no vapours, smells, or contamination to be afraid of. A cup of hot water, a kitchen counter, kitchen towel and tongs are all you need. There is no mixing or products, and you don't need to wear protective clothing. Children can use it under adult supervision.
The of course Minimolding is reusable for years and years with no particular shelf life. The cost is minimal if you compare Minimolding to other moulding products available. You dont need any special You dont need any special equipment. It is very affordable compared to other mould making materials such as silicone. Silicone, besides being expensive, is a once off mould which cannot be used for anything other than the mould you make. If it is not quite right the first time, you have to throw it away and make another. This gives a huge advantage to Minimolding, as if the same thing happens, you can reuse the Minimolding to remake your mould. No waste.
When you make a master copy of something, perhaps you need to refine it a little berfore producing it. So, you make it out of wood e.g.mould it out of Minimolding, make a resin or clay copy, refine it further, then REUSE the Minimolding mould to make another mould of your refined master.
Perfect for low numbers of duplications.
Let's say you are a model builder and need only 6 of the same items for your model. Make an original out of any materials you use ,clay, wood, cardboard, leather, metal etc. Use this original to make a mould out of Minimolding. Make your copies out of resin, clay, or whatever you prefer, and it's done. Take your Minimolding mould, and re-use it to make another mold of something else you want to duplicate. Silicone has it's place for making hundreds of copies of one item. Minimolding gives you the opportunity to make hundreds of different items.
